November continues to get better for Rush fans. First came the release of the Time Machine CD and DVD. Today, Rush is reissuing their first 15 albums in three separate box sets.
Sector 1, 2 and 3 contains five albums each, spanning their entire Mercury Records recording career — from their 1974 self-titled debut through 1988’s A Show of Hands.
[photogallerylink id=38031 align=right]Each album has been digitally re-mastered and comes with a booklet of unpublished photos and lyrics. They are also packaged in a replica vinyl mini-jacket of the original album. One album from each set has been remixed on DVD in 5.1 surround-sound and stereo. All three box sets combine to form a Rush CD road case.
Geddy Lee says he hopes fans will be “pleased” with these collections. “We’re knocked out with a lot of the five-point-one mixes. They sound terrific.” Rush is working on the completion of their next album, Clockwork Angels, set for release in the spring.
